The U.S. Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) supports more than 10,000 jobs in the Bay Area and nearly 20,000 jobs across the country, according to a new economic impact study that underscores Berkeley Lab’s role as a major employer in the East Bay in addition to being a powerhouse of innovation.
